Shutterbug Friday #1:Clifford Coffin and The Art of Post-War Chic
I’m not much for fashion photography, but I do have a fondness for the 50s as a design and style era. There’s some really striking photos in this collection.
A post on the best-title-ever photo blog, “If Charlie Parker Was a Gunslinger, There’d Be a Whole Lot of Dead Copycats”.

Moving Image That Isn’t
This image appears to be animated as your eyes move over it, but it’s in fact completely static.

Blast Off
Part of a Flickr pool called “Looking Into The Past”. Simple premise: take a photo of a location while holding up an old photo of the same location so that it lines up with the new. Some don’t work as well as others, but the ones that do, like the one above, look to me like time windows.
A while back I posted a video of a Royale De Luxe show in London. This weekend they’re at it again, this time in their home town. More pictures, and an interesting back story, can be found here.

More Mel
I’m sure whatever this is, it’ll be showing up in the tabloids soon.

Mel, Mel, Mel…
I’m sure there’s an interesting story behind this…or maybe not.

Atlantis and Hubble Solar Transit
Yep, those little tiny dots are the shuttle and the telescope passing in front of the sun. Click the image for a bigger version.
